Small Intensive Special Education Workshops for Parents

If you are interested in attending a small, intensive special education workshop or hosting a small, intensive workshop, email Dave Sherman at aspecialedlawyer@sbcglobal.net. Workshops can take place at the law offices of Sherman & Ziegler in San Francisco or at a location in Petaluma. Parents may also sponsor a workshop at their home or other location.

A small intensive workshop will generally cover how to develop a good IEP for your child and legal strategies to obtain an appropriate program and services. The workshop will teach parents how to become knowledgable and effective advocates and improve their child's special education program. (However, a workshop can be scheduled to cover any special education topic.)

The cost of the workshop is between $100 to $150 per person, depending on the location and number of attendees. There is a minimum of four attendees.
